Round pools may be cheaper than oval, rectangle or freeform, so the customer may have selected a round option to save money. But after seeing it in their backyard, it doesn’t really fit the space and they really don’t like the look of it. A little planning up front, and asking the right questions, could have avoided this issue. If cost savings is important, we will work with you to find solutions. Our goal is to help you achieve the backyard pool you’ve always envisioned!
The customer selected a partially exposed in-ground pool and assumed they would need a deck to connect the house and pool. Upon further inspection, we realized with a little re-grading of the backyard, the customer could have gone with a paver patio and saved money on building a deck. Plus, they could have had a complete in-ground pool, which is what they would have preferred.
The customer had an above ground pool planned that was going right in front of the exposed windows of their finished basement, and included a deck that took up a considerable amount of their yard (and possibly was too close to a natural stream). The homeowner was frustrated that so much time had been wasted already, and they still needed to contact their local municipality which could hold things up more.
We were able to draw a plan for an in-ground pool, eliminated the need for a large deck, which gave them back part of their yard and kept them in compliance with the town, which we also helped navigate.
